The outer mounting plate has no holes in it to cap the tube in, and the inside bracket the tube passes through. This allows for a very clean finish product. I get lots of questions about housing sizes- here's some basic info on that: Almost all Quick housings are 3.0\", unless you buy a specific pro-fab 3.5\", it's 95% of the time 3.0\". Mustang 8.8's are 2.875\", in this case use the 3.0\" bracket, explorer 8.8\" are 3.25\", some old factory big weld 9\" Fords are 3.25, but they aren't totally round either, ands last but not least, fabricated race car housings like mine are 3.5\". When in doubt, I still recommend measuring the housing. You can take ride height out while maintain a greater % of anti-squat then you would if you lowered it with a block-tall perch or drop spring. Flush mount rockers are included as the standard, if you have an Assassin bar you will not need the rockers. These boxes have machined blocks welded to the backside that are drilled and tapped for 5\/8\"-18. The pins set the width for the box and allow for custom spacing the eyelet side to side.
