these boxes are designed to allow the end user to adjust the eyelet height of the front of the spring. S10's were designed as small utility pick-up trucks, not as race cars. So as we take the ride height out of the rear end the front eyelet starts getting close to the ground. The closer the eyelet is to the ground the lower the IC height will be. This box allows for lowered ride height and maintenance of a higher more aggressive IC.
